I have no clue what you're talking about.

I do it on all my builds.

Press the pressure (BYPASS) valve out, tap, and plug. Screw the plug from the top of the adapter going down oposite of the oil filter side.

Assuming you aren't running the oil cooler here is one

http://www.hrpworld.com/index.cfm?tp...action=product

or you can simply thread the adapter for pipe thread and place a plug in it

Did it to mine too to ensure 100% of the oil goes through the filter.

Now, I'm a bit of a n00b in this department. If the bypass valve inside the part the oil filter threads on to? I ask because I was wondering if it's something I can do on my next oil change.

Man I feel like a dipshit asking a question like this

Best thing to do is get a spare filter adapter, mod it then install it on the next oil change. The adapter goes on simply with two bolts.

If you want a spare adapter, I have one for $25.00 shipped. PM me if interested.

I run mine the same way. The engine builder suggested it.
He also told me to run NAPA Gold 1060 filter for extra capacity and "anti-drain".
I'm down to one spare Mobil 1 454 filter, so I might try his idea next.

I wonder how does anti drain works?
Unless I am missing something, I dont see how oil can drain out of the filter unless there is a hole in it.

Yeah, it didn't really make sense to be either.
The anti-drainback valve is usually used on horizontally-mounted filters.
Since ours screws in from the bottom, it should hold oil (but not pressure) even when the pump is off.

I have not found any con to using it though.
I was mostly interested in the extra oil capacity
