Default Spark Plug Gap For 12:1 Compression

Getting ready to install new plugs and can't remember where I gapped them last time.

What do you guys suggest for a higher compression motors?

My TR6s are gapped at .035".

same here. prolly could get away with something hotter/larger gap, but with hyper pistons and hot/muggy FL, I'd rather steer on the side of cold.

with that compression a tr6 will work well...........as for the gap you want to run as much as u can get away with while still maintaining a strong spark..........if ur ignition system is stock id stay under .040........035 like joe said is prob ur ticket..........

with a stronger ignition system you can get away with a bigger gap and get a bigger flame front from the plug.......for example im 14.3:1 CR and i run a .043 gap but i got a msd 7al2 box powering it.........

Yeah I'm on stock ignition. I had TR55s for the past few thousand miles. You think the TR6s will be ok? I'll see if the parts store has them. I want to say I had them gapped at .035. I ran more gap than that and kept fouling plugs before that, I think I tried ~.045 and they fouled in a couple hundred miles.

So try TR6s with a .035 gap? I can give that a try
