Default 95 LT1 cat AIR hose

hello, I'm new to the site and am looking for some info on my 95 LT1 camaro engine. I don't have an actual camaro just the motor I'm putting into an s10(please don't hate me). I'm trying to figure out where exactly the AIR hose that comes off the cat connects to. I've searched for hours online and have purchased several repair books on the motor and nothing. In one of my chilton books it shows the hose coming off the cat and attaching to the AIR check valve located on the AIR line going into the passanger side exhaust manifold. On my engine however there is no such attachment and seemingly no place to attach it on the engine. Any help would be great thanks.

None of the LT1 F-Body applications from 93 to 97 used an air pipe directly to the cat. Not to say that it couldn't be done. It's just that the cat(s) is/are so close to the manifolds on the stock F-Bodies that a seperate route to the cat wasn't necessary. The AIR pump only runs for a couple of minutes on a cold startup before shutting off, just to help the cat(s) get to light-off temperature a little quicker.

All that being said, if you capped or eliminated one of the check valves, you could run the other one directly to your cat. You could use the flex line for hooking up gas logs, etc. to do that and bend it and route it any way you wanted to. Or you could ditch the whole AIR setup. If you're using a lot of the LT1 harness, if you leave the fuse for the AIR in, it won't even set a code on a 95. Your choice.

It sounds like you may have an aftermarket universal cat that came with the AIR tube installed for other applications. Usually that tube is capped off when using it in an application that does not have direct AIR hookups such as the F-body, B-body and Y-body cars.
