Default !!help!!Oil inside Distributor!! and leaky seal!

Hello,
Well after spittin and spudderin, i found my waterpump to be bad, so when i went to replace i checked the distributor and low and behold, when i took off the unit there was oil all inside the housing where the optical sensor is, and my cap was in pretty bad shape, so i bought an MSD pro bullet cap and rotor.

But my question is, is my optical sensor bad to?! i cleaned up all the oil, i used low pressure air to clean it out and the timing wheel to, its as clean as can be now, im just wondering if i should put it back on with my new cap and rotor? or should i bite the bullet and buy a new opti??? what are the chances of it being bad?

In my opinion if there is any doubt just change it. As you know it isn't an easy task getting to it. I would just replace it with the GM factory replacement.
