Default low rpm hesitation

Posting for a friend... His car is a 95 Z28, auto with magnaflow catback, gutted cat and intake.

When leaving off idle, no matter how few or how much throttle is used, the car bogs very bad and sometimes dies under 1500rpms. After 1500, it pulls just finelike it usually would, hard enough to bark the tires on the 1-2 shift. Tested fuel pressure, all is fine there. We unplugged the MAF and it ran the same with/without it plugged in.

Did some searching, looks like the 2 leading causes are O2 sensors and vacuum leak but I just wanted to see what everyone else thought.

We took a couple quick videos:

#1 is the low irpm issue, you can hear it pretty well.

#2 is start the rev from about 1500 rpm, which is much clearer and no hesitation.

That is very wierd. If you unplugged the maf, you should have noticed a slight stumbling idle..Have you scanned for codes yet? It could possibly be the O2's.

It just popped up yesterday evening, so he hadn't had a chance to get it scanned. OBD1 blows.
