Default Does $$2000 sound right??

Thinking about selling my car.

Stats:

1993 z28 camaro red hardtop.
163k on body, 70k on engine just installed
Mid-tubes, 3'' exhaust thru flowmaster.
SLP CAI, TB bypass, i cant remember what else right now.
Body 9/10. Paint 6/10. Interior 8/10.
Pioneer headunit, 2 6x9"s, 2 10'' comp subs, amp and cap(extra $500).
New waterpump, coil, plugs, wires, filters.etc... Basically full tuneup.

Only problem trans has no 3-4 gear. which i think is still under warranty.

just tired of dealing with it. and leaving for military soon.

$2000 sounds a little cheap, just my 2 cents.

most people looking will say it's high miles. $$ sounds about right to me. These cars aren't really worth jack.

That car would easily go for $3500 where i live. and I mean EASILY. Nice condition LT1s are going for $5k+ here.

LS1s are still $8k+

The bank would give squat on it as well unfortunately so if its much more it will have to be bought with cash. But I think you could get a little more from the right person. The tranny is a killer as well.

What lswho said, down in miami 3-5 is perfect. I just bought my m6 t/a in need of work for 2400 144k. Put it for 3k in need of tranny work runs like a champ and don't let anyone low ball you too much. If you post it for 2 they offer less anyway so allways go higher.

If you lived closer I would give you 2 for it. I have a spare 6 speed in my garage The high miles and trans are going to drive a lot of people away imo. I am still amazed people get as much as they do for lt1 cars. I have seen serious POS cars and people ask 5 k for them.

I would put it up for $3k and give yourself some room to come down to $2,000. I would think you should be able to get more than 2k but if you just want to get rid of it quick your on the right track. I've seen much worse LT1's going for much more, weather they get it or not i dont know.

Or you could put a new trans in it and get $4,000 easily? I do understand getting frustrated and just wanting to be done with it tho, you dont want to regret not putting in a little extra work for a lot more money later on.

I'd say 2800 or O.B.O. 2,000 a bit low

With a good transmission Id say 3500. As is maybe 2500. Location has a lot to do with it though. I say junk yard transmission for the win if you are set on selling it.

That's about what LT1 cars go down in South Florida. LS1 cars are in like 4k-5k (average) range these days. I doubt I could sell my 6-speed Formula for 3k even if I tried (lots of stuff brand new too). I need to move to Chicago or something. Or post in Chicago's Craigslist

OP, I would try and sell it for a bit more. Can't hurt. If you have the factory colored trim pieces for the interior, that would help Otherwise it looks like a pretty clean car!!
