I have a 94 Z28 and I got a 97 motor and my optispark won't work due to the 97 plug being to short. The little prongs are not long enough to make connection or vice versa. Somehow the prongs are not long enough and I was wondering if anyone makes an adapter that will make the 97 motor work in my 94 car without switching opti's. Any input is appreciated thanks.

If you're using the vented optispark that came with the 97 motor, you need p/n 12130319.

It also won't work because the 97 motor has no way to drive the 94 opti. The cam gear is different, the cam dowel may interfere, plus the timing cover is different. It's not just the harness.

I went through GM and they gave me what I needed. Thanks guys I should have a first start video tomorrow!
