Default Over the valve cover wire routing.

Due to the fact that my new AC Delco wires that i thought I had routed right were burnt by my headers, I decided to order a OTVC kit from CC Performance. How exactly should I go about routing them from the opti, and what problems might I run in to? The kit includes MSD 8.5MM wires, thanks.

Yeah i was thinking about doing that but then I thought why not up the size of the wires, also I think OTVC wires look cool in an engine.

Well i mean I know I'm going to route them over the covers but i mean from the opti. Drivers side will be simple but the passenger seems a little tough behind all the belt drives

You have to use zip ties and stuff to keep the wires together. Just make sure when you do it around the alternator the wires are tight and away from the pulleys. You will be fine!

P.S. - Make sure you have the wires going to the right plugs... I had to take off my alternator and reroute them when I fudged mine up.

Ok thanks. Did your car run fine after you did this? I mean, as long as I do it right it should run right, correct?
Because some people say that the length of the wires changes the performance of the engine.

I don't see how they would change performance unless it was better? The wires are about the same length as the stock ones. Mine ran just fine. Maybe they messed theirs up somehow, haha. Just keep the boots clean so when you put them on the plugs there is no dirt in there.

run them behind the accessory bracket on the passenger side and you can pull them through that way.

OTVC is more bay clutter IMO ,mine run behind acc bracket and utilize convoluted tubing to protect from grounding on the engine and zip ties to keep em' tucked nicely behind headers

Yeah I meant over, sorry. I like the look of OTVC though, even if it means removing them just to remove the valve covers
