Because you have to understand not everyone has the cable and software to do something like this... It is a lot easier for most people to just wire up a light of some sort. Does not seem practical IMO. Not knocking it though, definitely a neat and original idea.

No, i got ya. I understand for most it would be much easier with the light.

But I was told that I should just wire in the light because it's easier after I had already said i already changed my tune... Twice.

I think having BOTH would be a good idea. And having a pump that never fails is ideal! Too bad planned obsolescence is the only way to design parts anymore.

EVERYTHING needs maintenance, especially race parts.

Here's what you do..

Have the Main Bolts & Rod Bolts made in a Fuseable Link style.. that way if it over-heats it just drops the Crank out the bottom of it and saves the Engine..

No worries..

So if the pump fails and you are driving on the highway, what good is a raised idle?

Watch your temp gauge....

Hell, you can probably change when the check gauges light comes on in relation to coolant temp, that should take 10 seconds and you get a light!!

Pulled timing is obvious. It's like your motor is down 100hp.

I also don't go on the highway often let alone in my car.

And like I said, the light and the tune make a pretty good combo.

If I knew how to change the check engine light come on for overheating I would do that too. As far as the lt1 PCM goes our ability for tuning like that is nonexistent at least as far as what I've seen.
