Default PCM Swap

Can u swap a pcm out of a 1995 Caprice with an lt1 auto to 1995 camaro z28 with lt1 and auto with out any problems or any need of reprogramming... I my pcm has a prom fault and i have a pcm out a 1995 caprice sitting on the bench that i could use... will it work?? If anyone one could help that would be awsome Thanks

what do u all need to flash the correct tune.. Im kinda new to Lt1 engine

any of the reputable pcm tuning guys can do it for you.. Madtuners by madz28 or pcmforless come to mind

and for a little more cash they can do a performance tune based on your mods so you can get the most out of your motor

Get a cable from akmcables or moated and download win flash from cats.

Ask somebody to email you a stock tune that fits your car.

true, but beware that flashing your pcm can seriously F it up if you don't know what your doing..

It's a very basic operation. Just don't let the computer go to sleep, turn off, don't let your battery die or your car battery. These are simple things to control.

If people on the Internet can do it, I can do it. This is how I view absolutely everything.

And I've done it.

Be VERY cautious about receiving a "stock" tune off of the internet. Many of them are mislabeled, programmed like ****, etc. I would pay $$$ to have a tuner do it for you. That way you get peace of mind knowing what you paid for with a bit of a performance boost, too.
