Mechanic Needed...

Well haven't been able to get my lt1 on the street. Car runs but won't shift gears. Need a mechanic with an OBD1 to scan for trans./or any other trouble code. If any, fix the problem. I also need other work like checking for vaccum leaks, tightening my headers, installing egr block plates and general maintenance. (Oil change,plugs, etc.)

Since you have given almost no info about the car or the trouble you are having, I am going to do some Sherlock Holmes here.
I deduce that since you are blinking codes out, you have a '93. I further deduce that since you are hoping to find a transmission code that you have an automatic. A '93 automatic only has the TCC controlled by the computer. So, if the TV cable is good, the trans has fluid in it and the governor is good, there isn't much else to check out if you don't know transmission internals (I also deduced Sherlock style that you have park and 6 neutrals from your posts).
A post in a local section or local forum would help you find a local mechanic much quicker. All we can do here in the world wide LT1 section is diagnose your issue over teh intraweb, unless a TX local happens to stumble in here by accident....
