no real clue its stock about to start looking into options my uncle , the one i got this from is teaching me he builds these 4 a hobby . hes a member of the areo space tech socity or some **** like that millrite master electrition la da da da da but its cool others find this intresting

Sell the LT5 to someone who thinks it's all that because the more money you put into it the more problems will compound. There's a reason why that engine stopped being produced.

Yes you could sell that motor and buy a lsx motor; even though it would be cool to build a lt5 a built lsx will be a lot better.

I'd pay to see someone put it in a 4th gen. The motors are rare, designed in conjunction with mercury marine and lotus. IIRC the reason chevy dropped it was 1. Manufacturing cost, and 2. They started on the ls1. But 405hp in the day was a huge deal with the early fuel injection systems (ie. Anything pre-97). I say build it and run it off of a FAST system or even and lsx pcm. Would make for a fun project. And it really doesn't take much to get really nice hp numbers out of them. A former co-workers dad had one well over 600 RWHP and not much coin into it....

Very cool! I was looking at the pics in your garage and are those the factory rods in there? If so the motor looks it can take a beating stock.

the motor rods or motors u c r race engines that is the hobby end of all this the lt5 is stock but if u look through all pix u will find to cars my uncle built 1 a kelmark gt with full blown big block the other is a vector

ive actually seen a lt5 swapped in a 3rd gen camaro before. at a car show hosted by GMPP. at a dealership many years ago. it was a white and lime green car. engine sounded good. so i know its possible tlo swap in.
gonna take a lot of fab and one off parts im sure
