Default Pacesetter Midlength LT1 Headers

Anyone have any experience with these? Thinking about getting a set for my Z.

I purchased the 70-1335 for my 1995 Z28 and so far I am very happy with them. They fit well and are made well. I purchased my car in pieces, so I can't give you an estimate on HP gain. Just FYI, try Amazon.com, the price on them there is the best I have seen. For the 70-1337 they are $279.52 and free shipping. Hope this helps.

Thanks! How is plug access with them? Also, can you use the over-the-valve-cover wires with them, or is it better to run the plug wires underneath?

Thanks again!

Plug access isn't bad. Best from underneath for me. The headers for your car are different than mine. I ran the wires in stock location, and without being in front of the car right now I think that would be best. Maybe somebody else will chime in here and give their experience with over-the-valve-cover wires.

Do you have the single cat or dual cat exhaust? I have a 1995 A4 car with the dual-cat setup (1995 Cali emissions car, same exhaust as 1996-97).

I swapped out eldelbrock's TES headers for some jet hot coated PS mids I got for a steal. I kinda wish I went with LT's but I have enough problems getting a sticker as it is. I also run a single cat set up in place of the dual cat crap.

I'm not really worried about the single vs dual cat debate (mine are hollow). Just looking for something that is fairly straighforward to install, has the option of reconnecting all required emissions (I'm in the USAF -- never know where I will be living or what the emissions requirements will be), and offers some improved performance, mileage and sound. Trying to figure out if these are the best option for the price or if anyone has other suggestions.

Thanks!

I have these... they fit great; the ceramic coating still looks brand new over a year later. Great ground clearance for a lowered car or just going over speedbumps without dragging like longtubes do. Only complaint....shitty *** gaskets that come with them...spend some more $$$ on some decent gaskets or you WILL be replacing them a month or so down the road.

the quality and price are tough to beat, keep an eye on the classified section where I got mine which were freshly coated for the price the guy spent on the jet hot coating then sold the TES headers for 200 so I made 20bux on the deal
