can i beat my buddies svt?
my buddy is on his way home now back to mi with this car
http://nh.craigslist.org/cto/2369989457.html incase the cl gets deleted here is the run down.
03 COBRA
RAREST COLOR (satin silver) 1 of 242 coupes
CHROME WHEEL PKG. (MINT)
71,000 MILES
DRILLED AND SLOTTED ROTORS
EIBACH PRO-KIT
3 INCH FLOWMASTER EXAUST/UPR O/R X PIPE
MIL ELIMINATORS
2.76 BILLET FLOW PULLEY AND 100MM TENSIONER
JLT COLD AIR KIT
HAS SCT SOFTWARE/TUNE
HAVE DYNO SHEET PUT DOWN 498RWHP/522 TQ
i think the numbers are a little bloated and reason im asking is my buddy has always had lt1s like me but recently sold his car to buy this.
my car is a 96z28 6speed with a lt4 hotcam kit, full exhaust dumped at the axle, and 4.10s. i have raced cobras before but nothing very serious.
how bad am i gonna get it handed to me now

SVT's are dyno queens... but still u need to get a good set of head and alittle spray or just spray 150 or 175... they roll out pretty good on the top end... im guessing that car will prob trap mid/low 120s(i said guessing, im no svt guru tho)

Without juice your a dead man walking from the dig and worse off from the roll. I beat my buddies by ONLY a fender from the dig and his only mods were tune, x pipe and K&N.
My Vette is 500 pound lighter and putting 390rwhp to the ground with 1.6 RR, PCM4less tune, CAI, exhaust, 2800 stall and 100 shot wet kit

Brand X kit with 150 jets and some colder plugs should make it a drivers race. You may not pound him but I guarantee he'll hate the taste your Camaro leaves behind after a force feeding of laughing gas.

There is still not a fighting chance. Hell my harley truck running less boost and two extra doors and about 2000lbs more ran a 13.3 at the track. yeah a cobra running more boost and much less weight will run like a stripped ape. My friends cobra stock with street tires ran a 12.6. but hey that's just my .02

My suggestion is to put a 150 shot on your car with some good drag radials, make sure you can launch the **** out of your car and try to get ahead of him out of the hole. MOST Cobra owners I've ran across can't launch their cars at all and tend to roast the rear hides off the line, especially on street tires.
IMO this will give you the best chance, but the key is to do this before he learns how to drive his car
