I've tried to look up any one else running this cam but not to much info is comming back up. Any other info would help.. To help my mods are full bolt ons with a stall and gears that will soon be upgraded if necessary.. I have Stock heads.. Of course I will buy the recommended parts that go with the cam..

seems alot is coming up lately about the xfi's. take a look at nater36's thread with the 280xfi dyno numbers. i'll be in the market for a stall somewhere around 3000-3200 soon if your wanting to get rid of one.

Comp's Xtreme Energy 276HR-12 is a XE503 or sometimes called a CC503. The Comp part number is 7-503-8, that is where the 503 comes from. The 276 part of the grind number denotes the advertised duration, HR is for Hydaulic roller, and 12 is 112LSA. Back on CZ28 we used to use CC prefix for magnum lobes, XE for Xtreme Energy lobes, and XFI for Xtreme Fuel Injection lobes mixed with the part number to denote camshafts. Which really prevents confusion since Comp lumped their magnum lobed cams into the xtreme energy catagory lately. Your looking at a 224/230 .503/.510 112LSA AKA the XE503. Notice the above mentioned XFI is a grind number 280HR-13, part number 7-467-8 is a 230/236 .576/.570. People misusing or not understand leads to problems like what 5_LTR_ETR ran into with ordering the wrong camshaft.
XE503 [ http://www.compcams.com/Company/CC/c...csid=1107&sb=2 ] They are loads of information on this camshaft.
Using CC306, XE503, XFI467 would clear up the newbie to cam land issues.

The 503 is a decent off the self cam for stock headed motors. It is outdated and much better grind with similar specs but make more power. If you do a search for Elliotts Portworks you find his site and he does custom grinds. His version of the cc503 has a revised design and will make power with a better powerband. Check my sig for the cam im runnings its a very badass cam and will make another +-10rwhp over the cc503. I had the cc503 ready to slap in till i found out about custom grinds and sold it in favour of this which is similar but makes more power.
