Default 300 horses?

yall can see the mods in my sig and i put down 279hp to the tires and i want to get over the 300 mark. car has not been dyno tuned but i want to get 300 before the dyno tune. i know a cam will help a lot but i am kinda shying away from that and looking at 1.6 or 1.7 roller rockers, bigger TB, EWP, and Electric cutout (before the flowmaster catback). would those four do it?

Many strong-running bolt-on cars eclipse the 300whp mark, so I would say it is certainly possible. The dyno tune (or even a mail-order tune) will help tremendously and make it easier.

Also, the larger throttle body will require a new tune anyway, so it makes sense to just get the tune now.

Cutout, EWP, and 1.6s would get your close, and with a dyno tune it will put you over.

Stock water pump is driven by the cam, so removing the burden on the cam snout is worth a few HP. Also allows you to run a double roller timing chain, run the water pump when the car is off, etc.

with 1.6's, better valve springs, tb, ewp, and a cut out to free up that blowmaster you would be right be right at 300whp i think. then you'll pick up a bunch from a tune

Do you really need a bigger TB for a bolt on car? I'd figure the cutout and rockers should put him close to the 300 mark...

Hell, just better springs are worth a few Hp by not allowing the valves to float at higher Rpms..

1.6 RR would be good also to gain a little flow.

The TB is not something I would worry about yet. If money has anything to do with what you choose, wait to do this mod until you get to a little higher power level.

Should be obtainable with 1.6 RR and maybe an LT4 spring kit, Cutout or a better catback/x-pipe setup and Dyno-Tune. TB will not be as important until the motor needs more air, i.e. ported heads, overbore and/or stroker. Dyno Tune would be most beneficial!

i put a 58mm on my car (got a good deal on it, figured it would help being fi), at first i put it on the stock intake with 52mm openings, and there was a very NOTICEABLE difference in low end power and throttle response. after i put my ported intake manifold on and opened it up to 58mm i barely noticed any more gains. i have almost no bolt ons, just headers, and 3" exhaust, "custom intake", i have a remote mount turbo, but all of low end gains were noticed before i started to make boost. i also noticed it pulled a lot harder in the top end, but that could have just been because of being boosted

so i think a 52mm throttle body would help squeek some additional power out of it if it's right on the edge of hitting 300, but would probably be the last mod out of all those i would do, although the better throttle response is very nice
