All common carriers charge about the same rate.
Never use UPS or Fedxx For large or heavy freight.

R & L , Conway , Fedex, UPS , Roadrunner, etc . With freight companies, you get what you pay for , cheaper isn't always better.

When I bought my new-er engine block from Texas a few years ago I'm pretty positive they used Olde Dominion Freight to send that up to Buffalo/Tonawanda. Ever since then, I've used Olde Dominion Freight to receive (via ups/fedex) my other major parts purchases. For $50 they receive and hold on to them until I cross the boarder to pick them up. They are alright.

As for their freight charges, I remember not paying an arm and a leg. Look them up.

We have always used R&L at the shop. Decent prices and always quick.
