point being. i would leave the shorblock, heads and cam it. put the rest in the bank for something else. house, down payment on vette, ect....

well im really am wanting around 450hp so its looking like a 383 build for sure with some suspension work, new rear end, tune, and paint. hopefully i will have some left over but if not its all good. would love to have a down payment for a vette though

Why dont you leave the way its now, and spay it ? then when thing blow up or went wrong, that when you upgrade.

i would prefer not to spray it. i would consider a turbo or supercharger though
