buying his would tap be boooone dry, still deciding..
my buddy is trying to talk me into a ~$6500 "600hp" Victor 383 from jegs. (full kit with 6AL, 950 carb, solid roller, splayed, 12:1, all forged with a 264/270 cam lol...) thing is i'm all set up on LT1 PCM, did a lot of work to get where i am & i imagine that involves ditching the computer completely. BUT, my local guys definitely run/know the carb thing..
wonder how that setup would compare?

Now its still not as good a deal as your setup for $5k - that one is overcammed and has poor heads, plus since its not reverse cooled like LT1s the 12:1 CR makes them recommend race gas. You can make the same power with less cam.
