The heads are off... i already had the gaskets chillin in the closet from when i was going to use them on my bolton build so as far as wasted money that isnt a factor. I wouldnt go and tear a running car apart to throw these on for sure.

pretty sure a shim is .015 thickness last time i checked. And if that's the case that compression doesn't become a factor, why does lloyd ask for compression ratio when picking out a cam, and when he does he trys to use thinner gaskets to get more compression for the cam. If i thought it was worth my time id dig through emails to show what he has to say about that kind of stuff. Daves compression is a little down because he had to swap blocks (original was decked) and heads have a slightly larger combustion chamber then expected with that said his tune/cam/head set up was set up for a certain number when moe did the tune, and lloyd spec'd the cam. The easiest way at this point to get that lost compression back is to use a shim.

LT1 with TFS 195 Heads. The .15 shim is a SBC head gasket.(They dont make one that thin for LT1'S) I can use them with a little trimming to make them match. SOOOO all i was asking was if some people who HAVE done this took pics so i could get a general idea. YES ive already traced the diff part when matched up. But its always nice to double check.
