Default I need a new hood

SS or cowl would be preferred. Something that would let an ls1 lid bolt up without modification is a plus but not a deal breaker. Any recommendations on style/brand that fit decent?

ss hoods have to be trimmed. a 4in glastek i know fits without an issue and i think maybeee the hardwood 2.5in but im not 100% on that one.

Any aftermarket cowl will work with the LS1 lid. Im using that on a stock hood with some mods to the radiator support.

VFN sunoco or the harwood cowl are the 2 best looking IMO.

I had to trim my glasstek and cut a little off of the lid base to get it to fit. Glasstek hoods are pretty shitty too, vfn seems to put a little more effort into construction.

Current hood.

Having a hard time debating SS hood which I think looks the best by far or a cowl hood + lid. I'm heavily leaning towards the SS hood right now unless I see some cowl hood pictures that change my mind.

SS is by far the best looking hood for the early 4th-gen cars.

I've got to ask, what the heck did that to your hood ? 4x4 trailer hitch?

Ford ranger backed up into my car. Metal bumper > plastic wedge.

I think I would have to see it in person, but that pic makes the scoop/blister look way too big.

I've never liked that hood. The "induction" is too high and narrow. If it effectively serves purpose for engine reasons then by all means it's fine, but for any other use it looks terrible.

Your turd isn't fast enough to warrant a cowl hood.
