Default questions on putting motor back in

ok I'm sure its been covered but I need help. I know in general how to put the motor back in from the bottom, but I have some questions. What do you guys use to keep the A-arms from being pushed into the motor? Is a trans jack under the kmember and one under the trans a good way for moving it? Is it better to take the front wheels off? Just any tips/pointers you guys with experience have. Anything to make sure is done before it goes back? I do not want something to happen to this motor I appreciate any tips.

what do you mean by a-arms getting pushed into the motor?
I'm just trying to clarify because i need to know this info too.

i think hes refuring to the upper a-arms?
im guessing you have the k member on the ground right now? once you jack it up the a-arms will drop and move the shock/spring assembly away from the motor.
or maybe im thinking of something totally different...

i'd def think wheels off that way you can get to the cradle bolts and have a few buddies guide/support the struts into the holes up top.. As for the trans jack for moving it, it should be fine.. im relying on a sh***y home made steel cart to move my engine and tranny around.

just pull the sucker tru the top!... remove the under drive pully, egr, and to make it easyer remove the intake. oo and lift the car as high as you can. i just pull my motor out last night with the tranny. this is my 4th time pulling it out from the top.

I left the wheels on and used some blocks of wood between the upper a-arms and the exhaust manifolds and then some old wiring to tie thing in a way it would hold together.

good idea. yes im talking about the shock/upper A-arm folding into the motor.

Wheels on with dollys under them, dolly or jack under trans/xmember, and a strut tower bar to keep the front suspension together. Position under car, place k on stands, remove strut bar and let suspension settle outward, bolt up and vroom.
