My Stage 2 drives great, actually feels just like what I remember a stock clutch feeling like. Not sure why it feels anywhere close to an on/off switch for anyone. I love the thing.

Instead of making a new thread, I will just use this one to keep the Compeition Clutch thread going...

What clutch will suit me best? Looking at around 400rwhp and 425rwtq, and low 12's high 11's after I get my top end ported. Which clutch should I get. The car is daily driven, and driven to the track 100 miles away.

Sounds right to me. They will never be as cheap straight from CC (last time I checked).

I got mine directly from CC because they are local.

Have about 15000 miles and 2 trips to the track on my stage 2 now. No slipping at all.

I have the stage 3, love it, cheapest place to buy it with free shipping is Nopi.com I think I paid like $269 shipped, bought in april last year

I made my own thread about it here, just search my name and it should come up. I have pictures on it too

How much power are you pushing with your stage 3?

Just FYI, I checked out your thread and you have the Stage 2. Not trying to be a dick, just want to make sure people don't buy a Stage 3 and get a different result than you did.

As I said earlier in the thread, I love my Stage 2. GREAT clutch for the money. The only other clutch I'd buy is a Street Twin if this clutch stops meeting my needs.

For an update on my 2.5, I have noticed it does NOT like to get over-heated. I go to the track fairly often, and if you slip it too much and get it too hot, it will slip noticeably. I cooked mine last night off the line and lost 5 mph on the other end. I've had this happen a few times as I'm not the greatest driver, but I wouldn't say I'm terrible. An hour - hour and a half cool-down and it's back to good as new. I still DD mine putting more than 250 miles on it a week and the drivability is like stock IMO.

I'll probably go with the stage 3 next time around as I wouldn't mind a slightly racier clutch that could hold up to heat a little better. Or just see what CC would recommend. Either way, they are a great company and I love their quality, service, and product, not to mention price. 99.9% chance I will use them from now on unless I go to a twin disk

Stage 2 here with 400RWHP and it works great and would do again. Its a little "faster" than stock due to the pucks on one side but chatter free. Great for a street car but I would not do a lot of racing on it.

stage 2 in mine. full le2 package, etc.

I neglected to break it in, mostly cause i just wanted to drive the car. Seems to be holding fine without issue. Almost 6kmiles on it.

I did notice as mentioned that if it gets hot it likes to slip. Expected though.

Great clutch for the money.

P.S Ask for stickers and a shirt. They like to advertise !

the ".5" kit has Kevlar material on the PP side...Kevlar in my experience does not like to be slipped/heated. Pound on it yes but don't slip it. Under slipping it will glaze and to much will kill it.

I have the "2.0" which is ceramic puc FW side and organic PP side. It is OK on street without chatter "if" your engagement technique is right, otherwise slipping it will cause chatter.

If I do put another clutch in I am moving to a twin disc McLeod. Single disc can hold but the more aggressive the disc material on the stage 3 and up the less, IMHO, street maners they have.

CC has a good rep which is why I bought one. I suspect the get their hubs from offshore and make the disc material rings. The LT1 PP they offer are clones I suspect are also from China but everyone uses the same one. If someone knows otherwise, advise.
