Default Opti spark

Just rePlaced my oPti spark and when i turn on my car it pops n e ideas what it could be it's not threw the exhaust it's from the air intake and it smokes when it poPs

Double check your plug wires to make sure some arnt swapped.

or you didnt time it right installing it on cam and could be 180 out, i always start it before i reinstall water pump to make sure its running right.

ya mine does that too i did a complete tune up and it drives and boggs under a load but smooths out when u step on it

i know my wires are not crosses beacuse i checked them 20 times so what else could it be?

My guess for the op is crossed the wires. I did it the other day easy mistake.

Plug wires not on right or opti not indexed correctly (yes, it can be put on wrong).

i dont see how it could be anything else but the opti put on incorrectly if it doesnt slide on smoothly up to flush against the block then its not on correct. if done it before im sure everybody has.
