Default ac compressor

ok so my ac worked great till the other day it just wouldnt turn on so i went and bought another one thinking it was bad. then i put it on and oiled it and filled it with freon but that one still wont turn on. i disconnected the switch and connected it again and i even bridged it with a paperclip but only the fans turned on and not the compressor itself. what should i check? i dont have leaks btwand the car is a 95 z28

put 12 volts directly to the 2 terminals on the A/C compressor and see if it engages (at your own risk of course). I know it's almost impossible to do with the location of the damn compressor on these cars.

Or if you have a multimeter, you can measure voltage at the connector and have someone turn the A/C on and off inside the car (just need key on, don't need motor running) If you're not getting any voltage, then you know it's a wiring problem.

last year i had the same problem when i got the car. the first compressor was bad so i put the new one on and it still wouldnt work but i fixed it by disconnecting and connecting the pressure switch. this time i did the same but no luck. i checked all fuses and relays and they are good. i disconnected the battery im about to go check it again in a little while
