Fastest true lt1
#21
It is people like this these last to punks that make blogs like this turn to s$?t. The hole reason I asked of this is because there are alot of supposed lt1 that are not really lt1. Not to trough Tony under the Bus, but to me he is not the fastest lt1. The only thing that is lt1 on his car is the block, which to me means that it is not truly a lt1. It is basically a traditional small block chevy. So for all the people on here that won't talk trash about and Lt1 post then start reading other post that pertaint to other things like football that this jerk above loves talking about. All I had was a simple question.
You wouldn't call an LS1 with a single plane an SBC, would you???

I did not say anything about weight. I will adjust weight as needed to accomplish the goal. I know for a fact that a car weighing above 3500lbs is capable of running in the low 9's.

I understand you were asking about an LT1 record, and I was trying to tell you that you're being too picky about the details and you'll never find the record your looking for without changing the parameters.
Did anyone really think they were going to open this thread and see a time posted in here?
BTW, I would have to agree that an LT1 block and reverse cooling should be enough to classify a motor as an LT1.

I still have a factory LT1 block, stock LT1 water pump housing, reverse flow cooling heads, stock LT1 timing cover...etc. To not call my car a LT1 is nuts.

Wow, no hurt feelings here but I guess all the LS1 guys that went to the aftermarket LSX block that must make them non LS1 now eh? Those same guys go to sheet metal or Supervic intakes and MOZUS (sp?) heads. Guess you can't call them LS1 cars. lmao!
