Rev the motor to 2500 rpms and hold it there long enough to go through the firing order several times while it is running and listen for a pattern. There should be no popping from your free flowing exhaust under a constant load. You should also be able to tell the difference between dead cylinders (Missing) and cylinders firing in the wrong order causing popping or backfiring at a certain time in the firing order..

This is what my car does: http://youtu.be/FUjHeIaSI0M

Could it be the MAF?

Stumbled before the opti install, still stumbles although worse now.

Get the ICM tested at a parts store.
I still think it sounds like its running out of fuel, have you tested the fuel pressure?

You can unplug the MAF sensor and see how it runs. If it runs better then the MAF is at fault.

Going to go at it tomorrow. Bought a fuel pressure tester.

Got a new fuel filter, and coil to go on.

I'll see about getting the ICM tested at the parts store.
