The 373's in my 93 came out of an S-10 so they are GM. You can find them cheap.
I went from 3.23 and the difference was barely noticeable in acceleration. Its there, but I thought it would give more. I dont think gas mileage really changed. I think its easier/faster to get up to speed. You dont have to give it as much gas to get up to speed.

gained a .1 and almost 2 MPH from 3.23s to 3.73s the only .1 gain was from the whole not getting out of the hole anymore

This is what I was going to post, don't waste your money on cheap aftermarket gears(3.73's), then u have to change carriers also. Buy a complete rearend from an M6 car with 3.42's and use the money you saved to buy some drag radials or maybe a converter. You will easily spend $200+gears and $200+install.
