this info is years old but does show diff between running OEM gear driven vs EWP.

The EWP draws about 7 amps IIRC. There would be some "load" on engine since the motor is turning the alternater which is seeing an additional 7 amp draw on a alternator already spinning...would be minimal if any more without a EWP I assume but it would pencil out to some form of additional load

In my case I went EWP to stop the cycle of leaking pumps and Opti damage...the HP gain is a +.

There is a point from some the EWP will not flow as much as gear driven wp at high RPM's...this may be true but actual sustained high RPM conditions is not a large part of my driving.

With 200+ passes my EWP motor runs just as cool as it did with the OEM pump.

Yeah, it is old info, but it was the only graph I readily knew how to find. I've seen others.

FWIW, I am not promoting this as some kind of awesome HP-adder bolton mod. This is strictly a convenience thing, the HP gain is a minor side benefit.
