Stall and gears?
I'm going to be purchasing 3:73 gears in the next couple days. I'm going to go with GM 3:73s because I heard they are the best quality and quietest. Any suggestions on other brands or does the GM gears seem like the best choice? Also I ran a 14.1 bone stock, I now have a gmmg cb, moroso cai, magna flow high flow y-pipe and cat, along with 275 nexen n2000s, any idea my 1/4 mile times with these mods plus the 3:73s? Thanks everyone I know Its alot in one thread, but I didnt want to post two different threads one after another.

Try a search on how many times people say
"Try a search" bet you come up with more results then for stalls.......
Yank, Vig , Edge Circle D in the 3600-4000 range would be what you want to do don't cheap out on the converter and get a tranny cooler as well as big as you possibly can.
That took so much time to write that! instead of being a jerk who only comments on it to say "Try a search" take a few seconds and ACTUALLY try to help someone out its what forums are for

9D4Z28 funny, ive got the same mods as you except a gutted cat and bald tires. What gears do you have right now? If you have 2.73s you should also consider 3.42s. A couple people have swapped their 3.73s for 3.42s.
When it comes to brands, id also pick GM gears. You might see a -.1 improvement and +1 mph trap
I think a stall will help out a lot more

i'm gonna guess you'll run a worse time with the gears. you got some pretty low pro tires, the 3.73's will probably just make you spin. and a stall will DEFINITELY rip your tires to pieces.
as we all know... spinnin' aint winnin'

I wouldn't attempt to do a gear install myself unless I had an experienced person who has done them before helping me. It's one of those touchy areas that needs to be perfect right off of the bat, or carnage will happen. A good shop will typically charge $250ish to do the install. If it needs bearings that will be added. No way to know if the bearings are bad until they take it apart. Get a big converter. I would rock a 4000rpm one with a bolt-on motor. Gears and converter will easily shave .5 or more off of your times right there.
