Default compression help!

I have some trick flow 195cc heads, and they have a 64cc combustion chamber. My problem is that I want to use these heads, but It will drop my compression down too much. should I get the heads milled?

I plan on running the GTP6 cam..236/242 .568/.592 112lsa. would I have any problems with valve clearance If I got the heads milled and ran a thinner head gasket?

thanks in advance for any help

You have to take off quite a bit of meat from the head doing it that way and I wouldn't recommend it at all.

You have three options that far outweigh milling a perfectly good head.

Sell them and get what you want/need........maybe trade them
Deck the block
run what ya got or change pistons

FWIW I ran 11.8x with the same head and smaller cam. You can get them to run and the difference in compression isn't enough to chew the deck of the head away

what i might do is get the heads milled a little, and run a thinner head gasket.

Im going to wait for more feedback for the time being. I dont want to take a lot off the heads, but I wouldnt mind getting them trimmed down a little. I feel like dropping the compression from stock to 9.5:1 would probably put me right back in the power range i make now. Im hoping to make around 400whp

9.8:1 is achievable with your parts with those heads and a stock block. Deck the block and you will get the same ratio as stock with a much better quench.

also, what size injectors should I run? I doubt the stockers are going to be enough if Im not mistaken. Would 39lb SVT injectors be too big?

If you have them you could use them as they work within the tune. However if you try to run one that big without the tune you will wash down your cylinder walls and ruin your motor.

There are numerous calculators for that as well, probably search under injector calculator
