Plugs and wires. Tips, tricks?
So, Im about to tackle swapping my plugs and wires out soon. I have a set of Taylor 8mm wires, and NGK Iridium plugs. I've heard this is a PITA, and from how under the hood looks, I believe it. Just wondering if you guys have some tips on how to change them a bit easier, how to run the wires, and the tools I'll need.
This is on a 1996 Trans Am M6 pretty much stock, and alas, no headers.

It's been a long time since mine was stock but I recall things that helped were removing the alternator and starter, both pretty simple jobs. This frees up a lot of room on the pass side. Get the back pass side plugs from under the car, with the starter out it frees up more room. Think it took me around 4 hrs the 1st time. Now with headers, no emmissions junk, no a/c, it takes me an hour. Hope you have skinny arms, good luck.

Unless you have a miss or some problem I would not do it unless you just feel like doing it. if you do get a 18 pack or a 1/5th of 36 month aged charcoal filtered whiskey. It will help with the nicks and cuts.

I just did this and didn't have to remove anything. The Driver side is simple. The rear 3 on the passenger side aren't bad from below, but you will doing it by feel mostly. The front plug on the passenger side, I actually did from above, and it took forever because my I kept getting cramps from using my fingers so much.
I think the dual cat cars are tougher to change plugs on. I remember not being able to change the front 2 plugs on the passenger side because of things in the way.
Routing was trial and error, but use the longer wires on the passenger side.
