I don't see why you couldn't use any 96-97 LT1 OBD2 PCM if you have a 96-97 car.
That being said, I found it to be more productive to do an OBD1 conversion. It was only like $250, didn't have to send anything in, there was a tune already on it for me, it was a total bolt on, and the software for tuning/editing it is cheaper.

Alright i'll keep that in mind. So I guess my second question a previous tune on a pcm doesn't effect it being able to be tuned again? And my car is a 97 and the pcm would be from another 97. Not sure about tranny or if it matters?
