Default Initial Dyno results

Put the new combo on a dyno a few weeks ago for WOT NA tuning and understand shift points. This 12.5 to 1 motor wanted more timing but we had to stop at 38 degrees on 93 octane pump gas. This was thru a TH400 and a GV OD on Enkei truck rims. Up next, 1 7/8 stepped headers, race gas, Hole Shot rims with a 28" tire.

Thanks for the positive comments. I am very happy with these initial numbers. Phil at AI put together a strong top end/SR package on this new LTx bottom. Especially thru a driveline which has 25-27% parasitic loss going thru a TH400 and GearVendors OD. Can't wait for some new decent air down here to get NA track numbers. Having allot fun on the street with this power band. Spray will be INSANE!

Killer #s for that much drivetrain loss - who ported the AFRs, AI? They seem to be working well for you for being the old style non-eliminators . I'm curious on what you gain goig to 1 7/8 stepped.

Care to share the rough cam specs? That many cubes could handle a monster SR. What do you plan on spinning to on nitrous?

Thanks Puck! The AFR 210cc LT4 1st gen heads are from my prior combo. They were hand ported by MORE Performance out of Charlotte NC back in 2001 when they were still in business. This motor and combo has Phil's CNC ported Trickflow 215 cc heads. My engine builder flowed both heads and it wasn't even close after .600" lift.

Not sure where I will be spinning on the bottle. With bigger headers on top of these initial NA numbers, my guess is between 7600-7800 rpm

Ahh I see, I read it wrong and thought they were AFR 210s ported to 215s.

Nassty indeed .

I always give the motor what it wants not by what people say the A/F, timing should be, I have tuned LT's from as little as 33* up to 39* at WOT, I dont see your A/F but it looks like a very slight detonation starting at the very top..But great numbers!!

You have a good eye/ear moehorsepower. There was slight detonation up top on the blue run file which had 40 degrees of timing. It picked up and wanted more timing, but we needed better fuel.

Thanks for the positive comments. This has been a challenging build, but well worth the time and effort so far.

That 40 degrees of timing, is that what's tuned for or actual? I've noticed mine I tuned for 36 but it goes up to 39 at WOT. Your car sounds amazing by the way.
