Default 383 Overheating

Replaced the radiator cap: wasn't holding pressure
New Intake Manifold Gasket: very slow leak.

Still getting up to 220-230 while driving.

I have a meziere (sp?) water pump so I can't bleed it through the screws right? I've been leaving the cap off with the pump running while adding coolant to bleed. Haven't flushed coolant yet. Considering an aluminum radiator but don't really have the money. Is it possible the gauge is reading wrong?

Hooked it up to the shop's diagnostics but it won't read (possibly because of the PCMforless tune?)

Hellllp. Somebody give me a new idea.

Yea, 160. Thermostat has been checked. It's opening properly. I have a manual fan switch so they are both on at all times while I'm driving it. I did a visual check to make sure both fans are running...they are.

Also..no boiling over or steam. Just the slightest smell of coolant when I park it.

Alright, I'll try bleeding through the screws. Maybe I was mistaken but I thought it would just spew coolant out if I opened them with the pump on.

If it spews liquid out, there is no air pocket

Yep. Pure liquid came out when I tried to bleed it after warming it up. Coolant level is fine. Just got it up on ramps. Going to check again that both fans are working because it doesn't seem to make a difference which setting I have my SLP fan switch on. Maybe one died in the midst of all these other things I've done to chase this down.

I just noticed that I mounted my tranny cooler on the front of the radiator....is that right? Or could that be the problem?
