If you look for longtubes on ebay most come with a off-road y-pipe. You can go with true duals if you want

Long tubes, no question about it. I have had both. Unless you live in a smog **** city/state long tubes are the way to go.

If you ever plan on lowering the car, then don't go with LT's as they hang pretty low - even LPPs which tuck up the nicest. I am running the Eibach Pro kit and decided to go with RKsports (ASM copy) mids and custom y. They fit perfectly and I have the same primary size as most LTs at 1.75". After reviewing pictures on the net of cars with LTs and the ground clearance issues I went this route as the roads here in Houston aren't that great.

Longtubes are great no doubt at all however you cannot dismiss the power made by
Mac mids.......
Depending on your mods, mids may just e better solution........

I have pacesetter lts and love em. I used to have Mac mids with my stock setup but these pacesetters look so much better. I am using the 3" off road y pipe with dmh cut out and love em. Do it right the first time and go LTs. U won't be disappointed

My 95 has long tubes. They are almost up against the floor, passenger's side is a tad higher than the driver's side. They would be hard to hit if the car is at stock height. The problem is on the driver's side after the header there is not a lot of room to get to the rear with a true dual set up. Also, we in Tucson are held hostage by the smog ****'s. Something to think about if you are too.

My long tubes don't sit that low? I have slip fit pace setters and they sit no lower then the pinch welds really...I would have to bottom out my whole car to hit my manifolds. There are some pretty bad roads around in my area lol.

My Y pipe sits low cause its crooked...a tiny bit. and never finished coaxing it around with a hammer.. lol If it was straight I would have pretty good ground clearance.

I never had problems scraping and I'm running Pacesetter LT's and ORY. Lowered with Pro Kit and Bilstein shocks. Only thing I would watch out for are speed bumps, of course you go slow over those anyway.

A good shortie or mid will produce as much as any longtube with the correct system. 3" collector required I run a shorty, 17 rwhp gain with X pipe system, long tube territory.

My biggest complaint with long tubes is the y pipe hitting the frame under hard acceleration. It got really annoying on my DD 95 z28 and 02 Formula. My brothers 93z has pacesetter LT's with strano springs and he doesn't have to many problems with them scraping.

I wish MAC made their mid-length headers without emissions. That is what has kept me from getting them.
