Power is intoxicating, if ls1s sounded better I'd have one myself. That's literally the only thing i can't deal with.

I am not sure of your tracks altitude and avg.,DA but i do know mine here in Vegas altitude is 2400' avg DA is 3000'-4200' depending.

Normal bolt ons, X-pipe,Slp lid,tune,1.6rr,4.10s autozone **** clutch and tired DRs 12.9-13.0 na and on a 150 shot from NX 11.43. The way i see is Lt1s can hold their own! I wish i was running at sea level i would be seeing 12.4/5 all day!

I did think about spraying it... Bolt ons and spray would be a lot cheaper then an ls1.

Lswho... I'll agree with you on that. The lt1 sounds way better. Especially with a nice cam.

Mod It...

Lt headers, full exhaust, CAI, tune and gears will propel you into deep 12's with a good driver mod

I had full boltons except ewp BUT full wight and ran a 13.2. In good air. Lawhead was around the same. The cars running 11's are very few and far between and gutted. Im sure if i tried harder i could have gotten into the 12's but i got bored and built the 357.

Law head had the mph for mid 12s. Gods lt1 has the mph for mid 12s. You had a turd. Sorry mid 12s is easily done full bolt on. I had lame half bolt ons and went faster than you in decent air. Not good mind you.

I probably won't do gears unless I get a 9". I may do bolt ons, drag radials and maybe spray it until something snaps.

I only went to the track a few times. I had the same mph as lawhead with the stock converter. I lost mph with my big converter that was built for my 357. It wasnt a turd i didnt try that hard and got bored. Why did you use a mail order tune if your such a awsome tuner?

Some people don't realize there is quite a bit of elevation difference across the country. Only on this website do lt1s run so fast. If your not in mid 11s cam only, set the car on fire and buy a civic.

I have to agree with this. There is a flaw in your set up if you can't do the times.

IIRC the track I go to is about 500' or so above sea level. I ran an 8.68 in a 95 z auto with 3.73s, cai, pacesetter lt, ory, and hooker catback. It had a mail order tune that that wasn't "tuned" for the headers.

This time I will try to sweet talk Bluecat into tuning mine, but he quit tuning lt1s allegedly. If not I'll have to take it down to James short (guy who tuned and bought my formula). He managed to pickup 4 tenths with the tune on the ls1 car.

Something rubs me wrong about cR payments on a 10+ year old fbody. I say keep the lt1 car or buy a vette if you have to take out a loan. My favorite part of my car is that it's paid for.

I will have a C5+ vette one of these days. Right now I am in the process of getting married and doing some major home improvements. All on very limited funds lol.

My beater will be paid off soon and having two cars with no payment would be nice. I was paying 250$ a month on the Formula and still had no beater. Now I pay 75$ a month for my beater and I have a TA clean and clear. It is pretty nice.

why not do full bolt-ons to it and then re-analyze whether or not you want to keep it? you wouldn't have much money into it, so if you sold it then you wouldn't lose your *** on it, and it might even help the resale value slightly.

doing suspension isn't really going to make the car "feel" faster on the street unless your launching the car all over the place. headers, gears, intake, throttle body,tune... those will make it "feel" faster and if you find deals on stuff you MIGHT have $1000 in it. FWIW, here in sc i ran 13.3 @103 with nothing but headers and an intake. stock gears, stock tune and heavy 315 tires on a 2.0 60'.

Mod it....you don't have some super low mileage LT4 Firehawk or something collectors will be after in 20 years, f-bodys are a dime a dozen and collectors want something rare and special. Make it the f-body you wanted it to be performance wise...you don't want to get out-run by some new V6 Camaro/Mustang right? LOL
