blew a head gasket :(

Blew a head gasket on the ol' LT1 this weekend...

I did a LE2 head/cam swap 4 years ago now, car probably only had 10k or so miles on it since then so to blow a head gasket this soon is a little disconcerting and disappointing.

Going to use the Impala head gasket again, trying to round up all the parts and materials needed for the job. So far I got the list below.

-Impala head gasket pn:12553160
-LT1 intake gasket pn:12524653
-Used ARP head bolts the last time, they are reusable from what I hear?
-Thread sealent for intake and head bolts
-Hi-Temp peratex for intake

Anything else I am missing?

Sounds like you got everything you need. You can reuse the arp bolts, I would also get new header gaskets too

The ARPs are reusable, however, if I were in your shoes I wouldn't be comfortable reusing a set of head bolts that have been clamped for 4 years. It's worth the $75.00 to me.

Your telling me! I was looking at some of my receipts this weekend, cant believe I order the parts for that build in 2007 time does fly!

That and there was a head gasket failure so they would be the last thing I would reuse.
