Don't know if any of you have seen this, but I just came across it and found it to be pretty cool.

man, being able to copy those parts now to put on an lt1 would be amazing. if it hadn't been crushed it would be easy to just copy the parts and make kits like that

There is a guy on his 2nd or third roots blower setup for LTs. He cuts them up and makes custom supercharger setups that fit under the cowl.

He has been doing them for years now, but none of them have been finalized as a kit to be sold.

Interesting.... Wish more stuff like that made it to production. Wonder why they crush them...why not stick it in a museum or sell it for some ridiculous price to some rich dude.

Usually a prototype doesn't have a VIN, just some weird part number. Also, the prototype isn't validated thus could never be put on the road.

I had actually wondered if it would be possible to mount the new supercharger from the ZR1 on a custom intake for the LT1. Guessing it would be cheaper to start with an LS3 car though.

Makes you wonder why the aftermarket never made a roots-style supercharger for the LT1, as there is clearly room for one That low-end boost would be awesome for a street torque monster.

Because of the clearance issues the cost does not justify the means.

thats awesome and a damn shame they crushed it!! I think it would of been cooler to use an L99's crank in an LT1 block so you'd have a s/c 302ci instead of a lil 265ci tho. maybe I'll hit the lotto one day.. or maybe we could talk Darren into slapping a roots s/c onto the 302 hes planning
