Car looks great!

What class are you building it for? Is it an IHRA spec class car or LSx Shootout spec or is it a bracket car? How big is that motor?

Thanks guys. The car was built for the LSX Shootout. We barely missed having it ready this year. I am waiting for an announcement before I decide what my next LTX will be. For sure, I will not be bringing Gump again.

I will post up a better cowl photo. Basically, we cut the bottom out as well as trimming it back and then built a filler panel. I now plan to cut the middle section all the way to the firewall, so that I have room.

The LS7 has a stock 4.125 bore and an LS3 crank (389 ci). Compression is about 11.5. The heads are stock LS7 castings that have been worked on a little. The cam is big. It made 588 rwhp with the unported bone stock LS7 fuel injection intake, with stock 42 lb injectors and a holley 90 mm TB. It probably makes a little more now!
