Swaping V6 for LT1???????

Like title says i have a 1996 Firebird V6..plans are as of right now to swap a LT1 in it with some minor boltons!!What is needed to do this like ....Frame,computer,wires...console,gauges,rear end ect.......ect!!!any help will be appriciated!!!!

Frame is the same. You'll need motor, trans, engine harness, console should be fine, exhaust, and a rear end (you wont want the open diff)
Not positive on K-member/motor mounts

It'd be cheaper to sell the six and buy a V8

He's right, it'd be cheaper to just sell it and buy an LT1. The v6es also have smaller front brakes and drums in the rear (drums would be taken care of witha new rear), and the LT1 cars have a better suspension.

how much money$$$$ are we talking about for New Motor,Rear end,Trans,Engine Harness???????

Probably more than a used LT1 would cost...

I don't know, you might as well purchase a junked LT1 Z28 and use it as a donor car. It's hard to give an exact price quote becuase you can get anything from a used 150k mile LT1 to a used low mileage LT1, or a brand new tranny to an old high-mileage one... ya know? My advice would be to sell the 6 or just buy an LT1 though, because it would be much less of a headache and probably cheaper in the long run.
