Very nice setup. I was going to end up with those heads, but I couldn't spend that much cash at the time. Bret does a VERY nice job. He did a custom cam for me a few years ago and it ran rather well.

Thanks again fellas.
Yup, with working A/C and cruise no less!
Actually I think you're just seeing the PCV adapter Bret made for the dist. hole. The PCV plugs right in there making use of the hole and keeping me from having to tap into the valve covers.
I did replace the oil pump drive with the billet Herron unit, but it's still stock style and I'm using the original stock gear (still looks perfect).

Jon,
Excellent job as always! Your stuff always impresses the engineer bone in my head.
Is that Chevy Orange on the block? Nice.
It looks like the bigger tires are on the heavy end.

SuperVics work great on top of lt1s... my buddy has a carbed conversion in his 3rd gen with a modded supervic and with a baby 218/224 and longtubes he put down 340rwhp untuned running way rich. No hes upped the compression, mild port on the heads, and got a used LE 228/236 .592/.592 110lsa cam and its an utter beast. Killed a modded 2011 moded 5.0L by 4 lengths and runs 11.6@119. He has about 4gs into the build and car works wonderfully.

While I have run 315's all around in the past, I'm currently only running 275's in the front. They look bigger because I've widened the track a couple inches. The rear is lighter, but the rear tires still need to put down the power out of corners. With the adjustability in my suspension it's no problem to balance the car nicely even with a mismatch in size F/R.
On track what is your working rpm range?

Thanks Ellis! Long time no see! I've been meaning to ping you for some words of wisdom...I'm thinking of swapping back to OBDII to see if I can squeeze out another 200 RPM before the damn PCM shuts down. As long as I'm staying hydraulic I don't think it's worth spending a pile of money for an LS1 or aftermarket setup, but the OBDII wouldn't be too difficult as I already have one I'd just need to figure out how to tune.
5000-7000 for the most part. There are some spots on some tracks where I shortshift a bit before corners for various reasons so good torque in the 4K-5K range is still important, but mostly I'm rolling into the throttle in that range in those situations. 5K-7K is where it's really at for me.
One thing I'm really anxious to try out is my new .83 5th gear. Shifting a bit below 7K only drops the RPM to around 5700, so average power down the straight will be increased significantly.
Thanks. Yeah, they're the 4-piston Brembo Monoblock calipers made for Porsche. Cast in holes is the claim for the Porsche/Mov'it rotors and whether they really are or not they are well designed so cracks don't spread and cause rotor failure. They do crack though, and tech guys and the track will frown on that so I recommend slotted or dimpled rotors for track use even if the OEM Porsche rotors work really well. The PF rotors I'm using now are dimpled.
