Do you guys get rock chips on your paint when hauling without the cover on the front of trailer? pull in overdrive?

Here is mine. The trailer is sold as of last weekend. I am currently towing on an open for now. I am going to a 30' triple axle. Otherwise its the same setup

No rock chips that I've noticed but my front clip isn't what I'd consider "show quality"! I use overdrive unless I'm in a very hilly area, as long as you speed up to go up a hill it isn't bad.

2004 Silvy Crew Cab 5.3 pulling a 1995 Z28 (12.24 @ 119mph best) on a 2008 18' (+2' dovetail) Buck Dandy steel floor car hauler (wheels swapped for chrome modulars w/ radial tires.)

Not the best pictures, I do apologize. Its a really great setup. Trailer pulls awesome; Truck has no trouble lugging it around, and it looks really sharp when everything is cleaned up!

Used to have same car and trailer behind an 03 Yukon and it pulled even better (3.73s vs. truck's 3.42).

NOTE: Beer boxes were full of parts and chemicals, cooler was full of.... The "cooler" boxes Miller Lite had a while back make great chemical/fluid storage bins. They hold leaks better than Huggies!!

I always pull in Drive (3rd), unless I get on a stretch of highway which is fairly flat. I love cruise control, hate automatic downshifts

My tow rig:
1997 Dodge oil burner, heavily modded, 80psi.
22ft Temco gooseneck w/ custom ramps. As SS MPSTR noted they are SOP for our cars unless you get a real low trailer or beaver tail. Don't skimp on trailer tires.

2004 Silverado SS (bolt-ons) and a trailer I borrow. Hoping to get my own in a few weeks. Truck pulls great, factory external trans cooler and 4.10s help.

An airbag setup would help your rear from sagging like that.

they sell a pretty basic kit on summit, with just a manual air valve set-up. You can remote mount it in the gas tank lid for easy access.

My Truck..

My Trailer..

Pulls like there is nothing back there.

And it'll eat some mud nicely with the factory 4.10's, 33's, and front & rear lockers..

Good deal, looking for em now. It needs something. I tested it towing my biddy's SRT4, plan on towing my car fairly frequently when I finally man up and get my own trailer.
