Default Need help with new mufflers????

since im still in highschool and i dont have the money for a catback exhaust system, im looking for a real agressive sounding muffler. I want something real loud!

What kind of muffler shoud i go with? what do yall have? an sound clips or anything.. any help would be great!

Dumped bullet will be loud I KNOW. It will get REALLY annoying after about a month if you dd the car.

It's just a ghetto thing you can do yourself.

It's better to just put a straight pipe in place of the cat. You can find a shop that will do it, even in CA. You might have to tow the car there but you can find someone who will do it. Or just take the exhaust to a fabricator and say "put a straight pipe here". You can sell the cat(s) afterward to recover some of the cost.

Pretty much, except gutting the cat can (arguably) create turbulence, so a straight pipe would be better.

Yes, it serves the same purpose. But unless you do it perfectly it's not going to be as good.

Gutting the cat will cost you time and money str8 piping where the cat was and selling the cat will make you money....and increase sound a bit

so i should get a straight pipe instead for the cat? and a cut out muffler. i just want something that sounds throaty and aggresive!

the guy at the muffler shop was trying to sell me an excel muffler?? he said it would sound goood. but i think the a ricer muffler lmfao i was thinkin about a dynomax ultraflow?

Nope cause getting a stock fox body to be as loud as an lt1 with just full exhaust and still sound good is impossible

cut ur cat off sell it put the same size pipe back inplace of the cat then go but a cut out and put it before ur muffler..and if u want it to be real nice get an electric cutout..works wonders when the police come around..lol msaved my *** a couple of times...

Or cut the cat off weld a resonator "like a glass pack but cheaper" in it's place remove muffler all together. Sell cat
