A $40 sensor that tells you when your in need of more of something that keeps you from over heating and ruining your entire motor... useless? C'mon people this is a no brainer! Same go's with the low oil sensor... They are priceless!!! If ur to cheap to replace those you probably shouldn't be modding or even own the car. Go to a junk yard or eBay cheap lazy ***! Christ!

So if I gather correctly, you replaced the sensor and now the low coolant light cones on when engine temp is > 200f? Sounds like you have a bad wire or sensor, not really too many things that could go wrong.

And stupid question I know, but did you check to make sure the coolant is not in fact low? If you have air in the system when it gets to the radiator the light would come on. The radiator might be full one minute and low the next.

I haven't had any luck with aftermarket replacements sensors, I only buy the GM one since its the only one that ever worked for me. Or you can just unplug it.
