The motor was dyno tuned and only made 370 hp and around the same torque, very low for the 383. The motor is a mid to high 8:1 or low 9:1, need to do a compression test, with the math it worked out to somewhere around there? The cam is not exactly a "rocket cam", it is a LE FI cam 224/236.

I believe with the above information that the car will be somewhat of a terd until it sees boost, then it will wake up and be safe to run on pump gas.

I found some 245/50/16 nitto 555rs mounted on stock firebird wheels, would i be able to hook with the 245s?

I went for to the track for the 3rd time and pulled out an 11.91!!! That's great compared to the 12.36 last trip!

The weather was a few degrees cooler and I ran my drag radials with an addition of skinnies up front instead of my heavy zr1s.

Im amazed it even makes that much power with that low of compression and cam only even with a 383. Must have really good DA where you are cuz 11.91 with seems high for such little mods and no FI on it yet. Id says you did very well being NA making that power and cant wait to see what it pulls out with some boost!

I hook with 245's im sure spinning a tad but cant tell. A little is good with a ten bolt. People have cut 1.5 60' on a 245 555r

for all you guys that have been eagerly waiting to here this for months.... lol. the car ended up running 11.78 @ 115 with the DRs at Baytown.

And everyone knocks people you use stock compression and you are out there putting out numbers better than people with 12.1 compression when you boosting the motor??
