first time to the track

first time to the track
so i went to the track last night for the first time. NEED PRACTICE!!!
i ran the 1/4th with 315 NT05s (street tires, not DRs) and could not hook off the launch, nor through any of 1st and some half into 2nd. (theres no such thing as feathering with these **** tires!!)
I pulled off a 13 flat @ 110, is this somewhat expected with no traction and the motor built for boost and not running boost?
i want to go back next friday with DRs and see what it can do, any guesses??

Congrats on your fist passes man! It's always depressing to see your first time slip isn't it. It takes practice, then more practice and even more after that. If you get sticky tires and a decent launch, I would bet you could get really low twelves by going off your mph. Good luck.

i bet, i have had a couple of pairs of those 555r in the past until i hydroed in rain and went into a ditch... now that i have the new motor and the spinning at the track i deffinently will be getting some DRs and going back to the track next week.
I purchaced a gun the other day and went and shot it, like you should right??? so i figured i need to go take my car to the track and now im addicted.

You should be able to squeeze out a few more mph and hit 11s in actuality.
You should look into the Density altitude when you run. It's a good gauge for how your car is really performing.
