Did I say the pcm was the issue?

When grossly overcomplicating things it is easy to have any number of issues crop up.
A COMPETENT wrench has little to no issue with the opti and most see this an an opti fix.

For the money you guys spend on this stuff you could nearly do an LS swap.

You are right I don't spend time around dynos, my car runs way better than average without spending the coin for a piece of meaningless paper to brag about.

The reason people do the 24x swap instead of the whole ls swap is because we still love the ltx, just not the opti. Its out dated technology, and limits what you can do, personally when I get a motor built for my car, I don't want to have to stay at or below 7k rpms, or worry about if I go through too big of a puddle that ill kill my $400 delphi opti because it don't like water. That's just me but its apparent that you'll die with your sword in hand defending the glorious optispark just because.

I agree totally. Dyno numbers don't mean jack, all that matters is what it will do at the track.

thanks guys for all of the opinions. Granted i could have spent the money else where, but i wanted to have a more reliable street car and a better quality tune.

I could have spent it here , but you guys might have b*tched about that purchase too.

Tony- if i can get it installed this week, i might have time to bring it to Bowling Green for the Street class.

Damnit Brady! Is that your Bowtie LT1 block? What's your address? I might have to make a 'Roadtrip' while you're at the shootout.

I wasn't bithin' about how much you spent on this system. I don't judge anyone for what they spend their money on as long as their happy with it. Since I'm ignorant on the 24x system I was simply asking for someone to clarify how they justify charging that much for what looked like very little in the picture.

Nice block, looks like it's clearced a bit??

I just picked up a great deal on a used kit from another tech board for a great deal and couldnt pass it up considering all the little glitches ive been having. Time to delete that opti for good and never look back. Ill be likely installing mine next year along with a few other goodies

I would put that motor in a plexiglass case and save it.
