I gained a considerable amount of power from my buttdyno tune. I expect 4+mph when I can finally get to decent weather to run. And I didn't even get to fully tune it before the heat hit and I had to stop.

you come on here calling ME an Idiot then telling me I'm getting carried away??

Be honest here so a Dyno tune would be 100% better then a Mail order tune with a 502 and the 250-300 bucks wouldn't be better spent some where else?

It's personal preference.

I may have only gained a few extra HP on my dyno tuning session, but knowing that my car was running at full potential was worth the $350 to me. It was enough to get my car from an 11.04 to a 10.82. To some people, that's worth it.

Others, not so much.

I wasn't saying mail order tunes are all completely garbage. From time slips and ''butt dyno'' lol, I gained 4 mph from my madz28 tune from the Solomon tune. I just don't' think I'll go through mail orders again. I know there are a lot of guys on here that run great with them, mine were just not that good.

That post wasn't meant to insinuate mail orders are completely garbage, though I believe they are.

If thier is a good dyno guy in the area go for a dyno if your like my and you don't mail order is the best you can do like I said I will post the new 1/4 mile times I know after my tune the car runs smoother and has picked up 4 mpg and feals stronger but the real test is the track time then I will say if it was worth the 150 bucks or not

Go up a few post and go off of RamAir's post. IMO seems to be the best stated advice in this thread. If you're taking a poll I say if money isn't a concern dyno it.

If you can afford a dyno tune it completely blows mail tunes away.
