No Kidding? Which car was yours? I thought it was the green 3rd gen or the black SS that had the top qualifing run?

We were the green third gen. I was the tall guy sweating my *** off with the black "yellowbullet" shirt on.

Ty Tech was the silver third gen

Tony was the black SS

Just a flat out GREAT group of guys in that class! I think my guy in the green 3rd gen is hooked....we will be back with a gun instead of a knife next time....haha

The Street Stock went pretty well. I will post up my thoughts when I have time to go through all of my notes. There were a couple of guys that asked me how much cam they could get away with (they chose not to enter...).

100*+ with track surface temp's through the roof. It was a TOUGH day to hook.

Don't even get me started about the track prep as the day went on....we were chasing our tail all day trying to get a track to hook that was slippier than I-40 going home. Still, we were happy with how far we got!

Yea, I think we had a solid shot at the finals, and had a "slick track" setup in the car suspension and power wise. Unfortunately, it was just a HAIR off and wadded/shook the tires just enough to let Tony drive around Brian. Awesome race and great competition.

We out 60' and out R/t Tony, but we needed all the help the good Lord could give us to cover the 10mph Tony had on our car, haha. We were insanely pumped we could even hang with the little engine that could we had in our car, haha.

Without having it hooking and Brian throwing some good R/t's in, we would have been out QUICK.

FWIW--> Our car was sporting a Bone Stock LT1 with a GMPP hotcam and a plate 200 hit. Dead stock otherwise. That 10.61 was ALL 60'. I dont even think it pulled 120mph on that pass, haha. I think the car ran 12.5 on the n/a pass we made in the morning. It was good for about 275-280 to the tire on motor, lololol. That LT1 was like the little engine that could though! I'm an LS guy, but we love love love throwing the coal at Brian's green vert and will probably bring a turbo 3rd gen next year too...

Now.....on to the mad scientist lair for the new bullet to go in the car next year...haha

Damn that car was working great for what it is. I trapped about 124 but never got a clean pass in. I would either hook and bog bad or light them up. lol My best 60ft was 1.89 and in eliminations I went 2.19 or something terrible like that against Tony. haha

Yep. We were all over the place too. If we coulda pulled a 1.5 or better, we would have covered tony. But, shaking the tires was all it took and it was all Tony's after that.

the semi race with Tony and the Ty Tech car was actually a bad-*** race! I think our best trap was around 124.75 but it was spinning so it was a little higher than it should be. I think once the weather comes down, we are going back to BG with the car and see if there's a 10.5 in the car.....if the motor stay's together....It was really throwing alot of blow-by in at the end of the pass, haha.

Ellis I would love to see ya make it. I missed the first one when I think you were there and have been dying to see your car get down. Especially after all the FB and LTXtech build posts.

Spork in a gun fight lol. I think that was my car.

BG has been pretty good to us. I dont think there are any plans on changing it. If anything change the date to later in the year when its cooler out. Either way Im OK with early Sept, it just happened to be wicked hot.
